Irrax® sleeve

Category

It is heat-shrinkable tubing for weather resistance, water proofing, and insulation.It is widely used in the fields of electric power cable, telecommunication, public work, bridge beams, plant, buildings, and railways.

Irrax™ sleeve is a heat-shrinkable tubing made from irradiated plastic material. Tubing with hotmelt adhesive is effective for waterproofing after heat shrinking.

Features
  • (1)For Electric Power Cable

    For termination and joint of more than 6kV electric power cable, stress control is needed because an electric field is uniform. Heat-shrinkable tubing with appropriate volume resistivity and dielectric constant make stress control well.  And heat-shrinkable tubing with high resistance to weathering not including carbon has good anti-tracking property between electrode and ground. And heat-shrinkable tubing with hotmelt adhesive for low voltage cable joint part provides good insulation and water proofing.

    (2)For Busbar Insulation in Switch Gear

    Flexible and flame retardant heat shrinkable tubing provides insulation enhancement and flashover protection for busbar.

    (3)For CATV, Mobile Phone Base Station
    Heat-shrinkable tubing with hotmelt adhesive helps for tightening connectors and cable shrink-back.

    (4) For Public work, Bridge Beam, Plant

    Heat-shrinkable tubing with hotmelt adhesive is used for bridge beams and anchors which prevent a landslide. It is also used for anti-corrosion of electric pipes in chemical plants.

    (5)For Buildings, Railways

    Flame retardant heat-shrinkable tubing is used for joint parts of wiring in buildings.
    Heat-shrinkable tubing with smokeless, halogen-free, and inner liner of mastic adhesive is used for railways.
