ISO 14001 - Environment Policy -

Basic Idea Sumitomo Electric Fine Polymer will promote environmental conservation activity continuously and steadily which stood on a global basis under the recognition of that creating sustainable and less environmental load society shall be important. We will contribute to the society by supplying electron beam irradiated plastic products and fluoro plastic related products, and also by developing new products which has less impact to environment. In order to achieve these subjects, all members of our company
will endeavor to conserve the environment altogether based upon the following action agenda.

Action Guidelines

1.	Taking the global environment conservation activity as one of the most important issue in management, the management and all employees shall cooperate to proceed that issue.
2.	With recognizing the influence of production activity to the environment, we shall maintain and improve the environment management system to reduce environmental burden and to prevent pollution.
3.	We shall observe the laws, ordinances, agreements, and other requirements, which are related to environment, and have private environmental standards, which are to be subjected to maintain and improve.
4.	We shall proceed following activities which are aimed for reducing environmental impact.
	(1)Energy saving Reducing the amount of consuming electric power, which is almost and the largest part of our energy usage, by adopting better effective method.
	(2)Resources saving and recycling
	1.Reducing the amount of waste, and promoting recycling of substances 2.Reducing the amount of packaging materials
	(3) Prevention of pollution
	1.Reducing the amount of using restricted substances 2.Strict control of drainage to public sewerage 3.Reducing greenhouse effect gasses 4.Prevention of soil pollution by leakage from waste liquid tank, fuel tank, etc
	(4) "Green"products purchasing and developing "green"products
	(5) Consideration to community
	1.Harmonization with community and natural environment by proceeding with greening on the area around our plant 2.Lowering and controlling noise from our plant considering to community environment
5.	Working on environmental control process, we will create a purpose and a goal for this activity, trace them, and revise them periodically.
6.	While this environmental policy will widely be noticed to all workers including subsidiaries and cooperation companies,it will be open to public upon request.

Our company has obtained ISO9001 certification. We have been making utmost efforts to make employees creative and dynamic, produce a diverse range of quality products which can meet the costomers' expectations and requirements so that we can win their satisfaction and trust. Our company aspires to growing to a true global company.
